Our staff consists of orthodontic assistants and office coordinators who are well-trained professionals, providing the finest individual care, and dedicated to serving our patients.

Team Members

DarleneOffice Manager

Darlene joined Dr. Layfield’s team in 2018 as the Financial Coordinator and Office Manager. Darlene’s extensive background in various roles within the orthodontic industry has proven incalculable to the team. Her leading role ensures a patients optimal care and attention during this exciting but crucial phase of treatment.

Personal Fact: Darlene is from Conroe, TX and enjoys spending time with her husband, three children, plus her many grandchildren. Her actives include cooking, spending time at the river, and hanging out in Gruene.

Stephanie ScotchPublic Relations Coordinator

Stephanie has been working for Dr. Layfield as his marketing coordinator since the early 2000’s. Interestingly enough, Stephanie bachelors degree is in child development. She finds her background in child development beneficial when planning and creating events for our office involving our patients and the community.

Personal Fact: Stephanie loves to spend time with her husband, 5 children, daughter-in-law, and her grandchildren, plus her many friends. She also enjoys hiking, reading, kayaking, and traveling.

RoseTreatment Coordinator

Rose joined Dr. Layfield’s team in 2013 as the Scheduling Coordinator but soon after moved into being the Treatment Coordinator. She first gained her experience with being a dental assistant in a dental office and after some time, found her place in orthodontics. Rose enjoys having the initial relationship built with a patient and their family for our office to ensure their confidence, comfort, and overall great experience.

Personal Fact: Rose is a native to New Braunfels and makes many friends! You’ll find Rose to be a song bird and snacking on dark chocolate. In her spare time she likes reading, riding her bike, and listening to music and going on walks.

Mercedes RosalesAdministrative Coordinator

Mercedes is the Administrative Coordinator for Dr. Layfield’s office, she started in 2017 as the Scheduling Coordinator but found herself grown into a new role carrying-on administrative duties when exhibiting leading example of dedication and hard work. Her positive attitude and willingness to assist others helped her step up and handle any challenge with calmness and determination.

Personal Fact: Mercedes enjoys the company of her husband and two daughters. She has an adventurous persona, seeking new thrills and experiences to add to her life’s journey including: sky diving, visiting haunted houses, and traveling outside of Texas!

Carrie TimmermannScheduling Coordinator

Carrie is the Scheduling Coordinator for New Braunfels Orthodontic Associates. Her role is vital in building strong relationships with our patients. She is passionate about detailed information on patient charting and the procedures that are involved within orthodontics. Carrie has a commitment to strive and make a positive and lasting impact on every patient she encounters.

Personal Fact: Carrie enjoys spending quality time with her loved ones and her hunting companion, Pearl. Her love for nature and the great outdoors is something she is truly passionate about.

Justice TolleScheduling Coordinator

Justice is the Scheduling Coordinator for New Braunfels Orthodontic Associates, joining the team in 2022 after receiving her registered dental assistant certificate. Her excellent communication and commitment in delivering scheduled treatments for our patients allows for built connections with everyone she interacts with. Justice is confident that she will provide exceptional knowledge and services to all our patients.

Personal Fact: Justice committed six years to the U.S. Army reserves, after completing her service to our country she became a mother and wife. She loves expanding her culinary skills while creating delicious meals for her family.

Noelia CortezLead Orthodontic Assistant

Noelia works as an Orthodontic Assistant for Dr. Layfield. She has several years of experience and extensive knowledge in the orthodontic field, which she utilizes to provide excellent service to every patient she treats. Noelia’s primary objective is to assist Dr. Layfield and the other assistants in delivering top-quality service and ensuring that every patient has a healthy and beautiful smile.

Personal Fact: Noelia enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren. In her free time she enjoys doing cardio and staying fit.

Desiree HernandezOrthodontic Assistant

Desiree is an Orthodontic Assistant and has been with Dr. Layfield since 2015 after receiving her certificate as a registered dental assistant. While studying to pursue her dream in the dental field, Desiree found interest in orthodontics and wanted to find a permanent place to help patients with orthodontics. Her true pleasure is helping all patients achieve their dream smile and uncovering confidence.

Personal Fact: Desiree loves game nights and exploring her creativity with DIY’s. She enjoys time with family and friends but especially with her Pomeranian, Roxie!

Miranda NavaOrthodontic Assistant

Miranda is an Orthodontic Assistant for Dr. Layfield, with her comes several years of experience in the orthodontic field. She is dedicated in providing outstanding service and exceptional care to all of our patients. Miranda’s goal is to help assist patients in achieving a beautiful smile and for them to successfully complete their treatment.

Personal Fact: Miranda enjoys raising her twin boys with her husband and rescuing pets in need of a good home.

Abigail GuerreroOrthodontic Assistant

Abigail is an Orthodontic Assistant for Dr. Layfield, having over eight years experience of specialized knowledge as an orthodontic assistant. Her personal passion is matched to her commitment for patients to finish with confidence. Abigail dedicates herself to helping individuals achieve their dream smile and takes great pride in witnessing the positive impact of orthodontic treatment.

Personal Fact: Abigail enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends and building relationships within her community.
